Battle of SUV coupes Tata Curvv vs Citroen Basalt Which is better to buy

Tata Curvv V Citroen Basalt

The much-awaited Curvv's exterior has finally been shown by Tata Motors before its August introduction, after numerous spy shots and teasers were released. Both ICE and EV variants of the SUV Coupe will be available. It will face up against the Citroen Basalt, which is also slated to be on sale in India in August. Although these two vehicle's features, mechanical specifications, and interior details are still unknown, the outside details are already known. To determine which of these two future SUV coupes is better for you, we compare them below.

Bigger Infotainment and Digital Driver's Display Screens:

The Basalt is anticipated to have a 10.2-inch infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver's display; in contrast, the Tata Curvv is anticipated to have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver's display. You may be confident that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will work with wireless connectivity on the Basalt and Curvv. Thus, the only thing that will change is the screen size.

Seats with Vents

With vehicles like the Nexon, Harrier, and even the Punch EV, Tata Motors already provides ventilated front-row seats; the Curvv is anticipated to carry on this tradition. This characteristic is one of the main arguments in favour of the Curvv over the Basalt for buyers who live in areas with harsh summers.

ADAS

Previous spy photos of the Curvv showed off a camera module mounted on the windscreen, suggesting that an ADAS system will probably be included. Features like adaptive cruise control, blind spot assistance, front and rear collision alerts, and high beam assistance could be included in this system.

In contrast, the Basalt is anticipated to come equipped with basic safety features like ISOFIX child seat mounts, a reverse parking camera with sensors, six airbags, and other features that are likely to be similar to those of the Curvv, but without any autonomous technology.

Price

The Curvv and Basalt are anticipated to have starting prices of approximately Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to competing with one another, the two models will be used as substitutes for SUVs such as the Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, VW Taigun, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Hyundai Seltos.

Conclusion

Tata motor lunches the Curvv on and the ICE-powered. Citroen, on the other hand, has declared that the Basalt will be on sale the following month.
