Standouts:

- Early in 2025, it will be introduced in India.
- Will compete with the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon.
The brand-new SKoda Kylaq subcompact SUV is arrive in India on November 6, 2024, according to Skoda India. In February of this year, Skoda initially declared its intention to join the subcompact SUV market. In the months that followed, several teasers revealing the model's appearance were made public.
Skoda-VW's MQB A0 IN platform will support the Kylaq, but this time, the Czech automaker will be going it alone. According to VW, the company has no plans to join the subcompact SUV market.
Based on the teasers, the Kylaq will have a taut surface and clean lines, similar to Skoda's family design. The SUV's signature Skoda grille will be flanked by high-set DRLs in a split headlamp arrangement upfront. A sculpted bonnet, broad wheel arches, and L-shaped tail lights at the back with Skoda inscribed on the tailgate are among the other features seen in the teasers.
In terms of drivetrains, the Kylaq is anticipated to come only with the well-known 1.0 TSI turbo-petrol engine used in all Skoda-VW small vehicles that are presently available for purchase in the nation. A 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 6-speed manual gearbox should be available as options.
Popular subcompact SUVs including the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV 3XO will compete with the Kylaq.
