The Best Petrol Car Price in India

Petrol cars

Due to the increase in global crude oil prices brought on by the Ukraine situation, fuel costs in India have increased many times in the past month. As of March 29, the cost of a litre of gasoline in Mumbai is Rs 115.04, while in Delhi it has surpassed the Rs 100 threshold. Therefore, you may save a little bit more money on your everyday commute if you drive an economical automobile.

We examine the gasoline-powered vehicles that are now the most fuel-efficient. Please take note that the list is based on official numbers provided by the manufacturers; real numbers may differ depending on driving circumstances and style.

Maruti Suzuki vehicles, from the new Baleno to the Alto, top the list, although Datsun, Renault, and Toyota are all represented.

Here are the top five best petrol cars:

1. Maruti Celerio AMT

After the release of the second-generation model, the Celerio rose to the top of the fuel-efficient petrol vehicle rankings. The most fuel-efficient Celerio model is the VXi AMT, which uses 26.68 kph. The ZXi and ZXi+ AMT models use 26 kph, which is next in line. Even the least fuel-efficient model on the list, the ZXi+ manual, which gets 24.97 km/l, is still more economical than the Dzire sedan, which comes in third place.

The new petrol engine, which is mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission, puts out 67 horsepower and 89 Nm, which is 1 horsepower and 1 Nm less than the previous Celerio.

2. Toyota Glanza AMT

A single 90-horsepower, 1.2-liter, four-cylinder DualJet K12N petrol engine powers the 2022 Glanza. A 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox (which replaces the CVT unit of the earlier model) or a 5-speed manual gearbox are the available options for the powerplant. The new engine with the manual gearbox has an ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of 22.35 kpl, but the new AMT versions are reportedly even more fuel efficient at 22.94 kph. The price range of the new Glanza (ex-showroom, India) is Rs 6.39 lakh to Rs 9.69 lakh.

3. Maruti Suzuki Alto

The economical 48-horsepower, 0.8-litre engine that powers Maruti Suzuki\'s smallest model has been approved by the ARAI to provide 22.05 km/l. The Maruti Suzuki Alto is a popular vehicle because of its low price, excellent economy, and low maintenance expenses, despite its simple feel and small interior. A CNG version with an equally outstanding mileage of 31.59 km/kg of gas is also available.

4. Renault Kwid 1.0 AMT

The 0.8-litre, 54-hp, and 1.0-hp engines that are available for the Renault Kwid are the two available alternatives. When coupled with the AMT gearbox, the latter can nevertheless go an amazing 22 kilometers on a single litre of gasoline. With an ARAI mileage of 21.74 kph, the Kwid 1.0 manual is almost as efficient as the 0.8-litre model, which is rated at 20.71 kph. Because of this, it uses a little less gasoline than the Redigo, its cousin from Datsun, with which it shares engine choices.

5. Datsun Redigo, AMT

In 2020, Datsun improved its smallest model with an upgrade. Along with a full cosmetic change, the Datsun Redigo facelift also included additional equipment, such as an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system for the top-spec T(O) version and internal wing mirror adjustment across the range. The hatchback comes with two petrol engines: a 54-hp, 0.8-litre engine and a 68-hp, 1.0-litre engine. At 22kpl for the 1.0-litre engine with the AMT transmission, the Redigo still rates among the most efficient petrol cars in the country. The 0.8-liter and 1.0-liter engines are rated at 20.71kpl and 21.7kpl, respectively, with manual transmission.

Conclusion

Apart from these, there are many petrol-efficient cars, such as the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R 1.0 AMT, Maruti Suzuki Dzire AMT, Maruti Suzuki Swift AMT, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
