The New Maruti Dzire 5 star rated 4th edition launched in India

The new Maruti Dzire, 5-star rated, 4th edition, launched in India.

Maruti Suzuki India has launched the fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which starts at Rs 6.79 lakh. The ex-showroom price of the highest-selling vehicle in the country begins at Rs 10.14 lakh. These are the base prices.

This makes the 2024 Maruti Dzire the first vehicle produced by the company to meet the extremely stringent 5-star testing done by Global NCAP. Once again, each model of Maruti Suzuki has adhered to the very stringent law of India in regard to these measures of safety.

The Dzire 2024 on road price comes in several models. Below are the prices of the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire, with ex-showroom prices starting at:

  • LXi MT: Rs 6.79 lakh
  • VXi MT: Rs 7.79 lakh
  • VXi AMT: Rs 8.24 lakh
  • VXi MT CNG: Rs 8.74 lakh
  • ZXi MT: ₹ 8.89 lakh
  • ZXi AMT: ₹ 9.34 lakh
  • ZXi MT CNG: ₹ 9.84 lakh
  • ZXi+ MT: ₹ 9.69 lakh
  • ZXi+ AMT: ₹ 10.14 lakh

Maruti Dzire Design

The new Dzire has a 2,450mm wheelbase; the ground clearance is 163mm, and it measures 3,995 mm long, 1,735mm, and 1,525mm tall. Although identical in terms of dimensions to the outgoing Dzire, it will be 10 mm taller. It certainly won\'t look like the Swift, from which it shares nothing visually, anyway, unlike some of the previous-generation models.

The new Dzire gets a flat canopy at the front with faint folds at each corner. The "Crystal Vision" headlights have blacked-out surrounds similar to the Audi style. The hexagonal grille is bigger, having five horizontal slats and a piano black finish on the topmost panel with a chrome strip. More aggressively curved features on the doors and fenders in profile and new alloy wheels; the higher variants get a diamond-cut pattern

Its taillamp is a new square shape, said to house "3D Trinity LED elements" at the back. The boot lid and bumper design are, for the most part, the same as the previous Car EXCEPT for some new sculpting on the bottom portion of the bumper.

Maruti Dzire Interiors:

Although it shares the same general appearance as the Swift hatchback, it has more colours and textures rather than the black and silver colour scheme seen on the Swift. It is completed by silver trims, dark brown imitation woods, and beige upholsteries on the dashboard. Along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection and connected car capabilities, this car offers the same 9-inch SmartPlay Pro Plus device many other Marutis share.

Higher variants are offered with a factory-fitted single-pane sunroof, the first on the Dzire as well as in the smallest sedan segment. The list of new features in the updated Dzire also includes a 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, a centre armrest at the rear, and cruise control.

Maruti Dzire Engine Specification:

The New Dzire has been bestowed with a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, which has the potential to generate 82 horsepower and 112 Nm with an idle start/stop function. Two gearbox options are available: the five-speed AMT and the five-speed manual. The CNG version delivers 101.8 Nm and 69.75 horsepower.

Maruti Dzire Safety Rating

GNCAP has awarded the 2017 Maruti Dzire a 4-star safety rating for child occupant protection and a phenomenal 5-star grade for adult occupant protection. Thus, it becomes the first Maruti to obtain a 5-star rating from Global NCAP for this reason. Among the safety features of the 2017 Dzire are six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, braking assist, three-point seat belts for each seat, and ISOFIX mounts.

The third-generation model will continue to be available for fleet owners as the Dzire Tour, whereas the new fourth-generation Dzire will replace the existing model that will be sold to individual customers.

Conclusion

The Amaze too will be upgraded to a new generation next month. The second generation of the Tata Tigor is another newcomer among its fresh competitors. Available with petrol or diesel engines along with high-performance manual or AMT auto transmissions, the new Dzire boasts a distinct design identity besides offering more features than the Swift hatchback. First among new-generation Maruti products to receive the coveted 5-star Global NCAP crash test rating.
