In recent years, India has seen a steady increase in the market for luxury automobiles. The most costly of the lot is the XM plug-in hybrid SUV, which has a starting price of 2.6 crore. It is a smart vehicle. In the first half of 2023, they claimed a 5% increase in sales, totalling 5,867 units.
3. Audi
High on the Indian luxury automobile market is the adaptable German manufacturer. High build quality, sportiness, and innovative design are synonymous with Audi. The most economical vehicle on the Indian market is the Audi A4, which is an entry-level sedan that starts at around 43.85 lakh. The price for the potent RS Q8 SUV then rises to Rs. 2.22 crore. Their collection of electric vehicles, comprising models like the E-tron, E-tron Sportback, and E-tron GT, is priced between Rs. 1.02 crore and Rs. 1.94 crore. In contrast, Mercedes has the EQS, EQE, EQB, and AMG EQS in its lineup, while BMW has EVs such as the i7 and iX.
4. Jaguar
There are four versions available for purchase in India at the moment: the F-Pace, I-Pace, XF, and F-type. The Jaguar XF, which starts at Rs. 71.6 lakh, is the most reasonably priced model, while the 5-liter F-type sports vehicle is the most costly model available, costing more than Rs. 1.53 crore. Jaguar\'s SUV range consists of the F-Pace and the I-Pace, with the former costing less at Rs. 77.41 lakh and the latter at Rs. 1.2 crore.
5. Land Rover
There are several different trims available for every model that is now on the market, with prices ranging above anything one could ever dream of. The Discovery Sport is the least expensive Land Rover, with starting costs of Rs. 71.39 lakh; the Evoque is somewhat more expensive, at Rs. 72.09 lakh. With a price tag of Rs. 89.41 lakh, the Velar is priced competitively, while the Range Rover is the most costly model, costing up to Rs. 4.17 crore. Additionally, JLR India had a 102% increase in revenue in FY24, the greatest level ever.
6. Volvo
Volvo's sales statistics are not very noteworthy and are not as high as those of other companies like Mercedes or BMW. At the moment, Volvo provides one sedan, two electric vehicles, and three SUVs in India. Starting at Rs. 56.90 lakh, the entry-level XC40 Recharge is the most reasonably priced model, while the top-tier XC90 costs Rs. 98.50 lakh. In the Indian car market, the all-electric XC40 Recharge is among the most reasonably priced premium EVs.
7. Lexus
Only the ES model is still assembled in India by the Japanese company; the NX, RX, LX, LS, and LC versions are still imported. There are presently eight Lexus vehicles available in India, spanning the SUV, sedan, and coupe sectors. Starting at Rs. 61.6 lakh, the ES 300h Exquisite is the most inexpensive Lexus, while the LX 500d commands a staggering Rs. 2.82 crore. The LC 500h is the sole two-door coupe that is offered for sale, with a starting price of Rs. 2.29 crore. In 2023, Lexus plans to introduce the new RX, LC500, and LM premium MPV to the market.
8. Rolls Royce
Five models in all are available: Ghost, Phantom, Cullinan, Wraith, and Dawn. Strangely enough, the most costly model when compared to other brands is the least expensive model. The Rolls-Royce Wraith costs between Rs. 6.22 and Rs. 7.21 crore, while the Ghost costs between Rs. 6.95 and Rs. 7.95 crore. Starting at an astounding Rs. 8.99 crore, the opulent Phantom may be purchased for up to an astounding Rs. 10.48 crore.
9. Bentley
Photographs and technical details stoke the passion of enthusiasts and Bentley fans for these amazing vehicles. Bentley only has two models available in the Indian market right now, which helps to explain why sales are low yet prices are high. The Bentley Continental GT and the Bentayga are two examples of these vehicles. The Continental is the least costly Bentley available here, with a starting price of Rs. 3.91 crore, while the Bentayga EWB is the most expensive, with a starting price of almost Rs. 6 crore.
10. Porsche
Porsche has been working tirelessly to enhance its dealerships and services in India; eight locations are being opened, with three of them scheduled to open in 2022 alone. The Macan SUV, priced at Rs. 83.21 lakh, is the most economical Porsche. The starting price of the two mid-engine sports cars, the 911 and the 718, is higher at between 1.37 and 1.73 crore. The starting price of the all-electric Taycan is Rs. 1.53 crore, while that of the Panamera is Rs. 1.58 crore.
