The BE 6e and XEV 9e are two fantastic electric SUVs that Mahindra has introduced. The foundation of both of these approaches is the INGLO platform, which combines performance and innovation. Here is a brief feature, performance, and design comparison of the two cars.
Pricing and Variants
The ex-showroom prices of the Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e are Rs. 18.90 lakh and Rs. 21.90 lakh, respectively. There are three different versions of these: One, Two, and Three. In January 2025, the pricing for each version will be revealed.
Design and Features
The BE 6e comes with two wireless chargers, a fixed glass top, and a dual integrated infotainment and driver's display screen. Other features involve multi-zone temperature control and an augmented reality HUD, plus a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Both are also equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment system and instrument console displays.
In addition to ventilated powered seats and a wireless phone charger, the XEV 9e has three 12.3-inch screens: an instrument cluster, a touchscreen, and a passenger-side screen. It also has the same HUD and 16-speaker Harman Kardon system as the BE 6e.
A 5-seater arrangement is available for both vehicles, guaranteeing plenty of interior room.
Performance and Range
With a stated range of 682 km on the MIDC cycle, the BE 6e offers a little greater range. Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions are available, and the battery packs have capacities of 59 kWh and 79 kWh and produce between 227.84 and 281.59 horsepower.
The XEV 9e boasts a 656-kilometre range yet provides the same battery sizes. There are other models with all-wheel drive and rear. Both models take less than seven seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h; both can charge from 20% to 80% level by DC rapid charging of 175 kW and will manage this in only 20 minutes.
Space and Comfort
With a 6663-litre boot and a 150-litre front trunk or frunk, the XEV 9e can accommodate more. The Mahindra BE 6e features a significantly smaller 45-litre front trunk and a 455-litre boot.
There are just minor differences in the interior space; the BE 6e has slightly more legroom, while the XEV 9e has more headroom and cabin area up front.
Safety Features
With up to seven airbags, electronic stability control (ESP), and tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), both SUVs prioritize safety. Additionally, they contain Level 2 ADAS capabilities, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and lane-keep assist. Although ratings have not yet been released, Mahindra aimed for a 5-star Global NCAP crash rating when designing the INGLO platform.
Driving Dynamics and Technology
Because of their advanced braking systems and semi-active suspension, the BE 6e and XEV 9e offer incredibly comfortable rides. They employ cutting-edge AI for entertainment, connection, and driving assistance. Their infotainment and safety features are powered by MAIA software architecture, which offers a first-rate user experience.
Conclusion
While the Mahindra XEV 9e offers higher luggage room and luxury amenities, the BE 6e is best suited for individuals who need a budget and a little longer range. Both SUVs use state-of-the-art technology and powerful performance to reinvent electric transportation.
