We have previously tested the Jawa 42 FJ against a couple of its competitors in the sector since its recent launch. The Honda Hness CB350 is pitted against the new Jawa bike in this tale.
These are the outcomes:
1. Design
Even though it is retro, the Jawa 42 has a more athletic aspect and a far more modern appearance. Its single-piece seat, dual exhaust outlets, and rounded LED headlamp all add to its attractive appearance. Conversely, the Honda Hness CB350 has a classic vintage appearance. It has a circular LED headlamp as well, although it seems a little longer and cosier than the Jawa 42 FJ. The Harness is available in a variety of trim levels and offers a customizing package that includes a rear seat cowl and headlamp fairing.
2. Features
Regarding the features of the 42 FJ, Jawa has included dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, and a completely computerized console. On the other hand, the Hness has a semi-digital console, Honda Selectable Torque Control, smartphone voice control, and an LED headlamp. On paper, the Honda product offers more features.
3. Engine
The Jawa 350, which was introduced earlier this year, and the Jawa 42 FJ use the same powertrain. It is a single-cylinder, 334cc liquid-cooled engine. The combination produces 29.62 Nm and 28.7 bhp and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. In the meantime, the Honda Hness CB350 produces 20.7 horsepower and 30 Nm with a 348.36cc engine paired with a five-speed transmission. The two mills provide distinct riding experiences in addition to having distinctive architectural styles.
If you\'re looking for a reasonably young motor that is rapid to rev, the Jawa could be a good option. However, the Honda Hness CB350 might be the best option if you\'re looking for a calm and easy-going engine that increases the rpm gradually.
4. Hardware
The hardware arrangement for the two motorcycles is really basic. They have twin rear shocks and telescopic front forks, and a front and rear disc brake system for stopping. Although both Jawa and Honda sell their motorcycles with alloy wheels, the Jawa 42 FJ base model is also available with spoke wheels and tubed tyres.
5. Price
The Jawa 42 FJ is available for purchase for as little as Rs. 1.99 lakh, while the Honda Hness CB350 is priced (ex-showroom, Delhi) at Rs. 2.09 lakh. While the two bikes are similar in several ways, the Jawa bike has greater power and the Honda bike has more features.
