Mahindra BE 6e Price Range and Features

Mahindra has launched the much-awaited BE 6e at introductory prices starting from Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Along with the BE 6e, the company also launched the XEV 9e. Mahindra has currently disclosed the price only for the base trim of the BE 6E, which is named Pack One. The complete price list will be announced later. These two electric SUVs shall be opened for bookings towards the end of January 2025, with delivery to start at the end of February 2025.

 BE 6e Specifications:

The BE 6e measures a total length of 4,371mm, a breadth of 1,907mm, a height of 1,627mm, and a specified wheelbase that clocked in at 2,775mm, which is just like what the XEV 9e has also measured. This coupe-SUV is mounted on 19-inch aero-optimised wheels wrapped with 245/55 section tyres. An option is also available for larger 245/50 R20, however. Mahindra says that the BE 6e boasts 207 mm of ground clearance with a turning circle smaller than 10 meters. Finally, it gets boot space of 455 litres, with an additional 45 litres for frunk storage.

BE 6e Interior and Exterior:

There are two 12.3-inch floating screens on the BE 6e. The system is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 CPU, which is said to be the fastest automotive-grade chipset, with 24 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Three preset themes—Calm, Cozy, and Club—with custom music, ambient lighting, and climate control settings are also available through the infotainment system.

 

The BE 6e has a floating centre console, a two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo, and the first augmented reality head-up display in its sector. The centre console has cupholders, a wireless charging pad, a rotary dial for drive modes, and an aviation thrust lever-style driving mode selection. Along with distinctive strap-style internal door handles, the roof features an aircraft-style control panel for the sunroof and illumination.

 

Auto park assist, a Dolby Atmos 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, an in-car camera, an electronic parking brake, dual-zone climate control, a large panoramic sunroof with integrated multi-colour lighting, laminated glass that blocks UV rays, ambient lighting, a powered driver's seat with memory function, 5G connectivity with built-in Wi-Fi, OTA updates, a Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree cameras, and seven airbags are among the top-spec models. Additionally, the BE 6e has BYOD (bring your device) functionality that lets users stream media and connect to other devices.

BE 6e Battery Range:

Two battery pack options will be available for the Mahindra BE 6e: a 59kWh unit and a bigger 79kWh unit. Lithium-iron Iron Phosphate is the battery chemistry for both of them. The torque figure is rated 380Nm on both the 59kWh and 79kWh variants, with the former generating 228 hp and the latter producing 281 hp. The car will launch into the market with rear-wheel drive. The internal tests reveal that the top-specified model completes the 0-100 km/h mark in just 6.7 seconds, as claimed by Mahindra. The car now boasts of an additional Boost mode that gives it 10 seconds of maximum torque, in addition to its three drive modes: Range, Everyday, and Race. The same property applies to this one too.

 

The battery range, meanwhile, has an ARAI-certified range of 535 km; the larger battery, however, is said by ARAI to possess a range of 682 km. Mahindra claims that under normal charging conditions with a 175-kW DC charger, the battery pack can go from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes and has a lifetime warranty.

 

Chargers must be purchased separately. Standard AC charging options include an 11.2 kW AC charger (charging from 0-100% takes 8 hours/6 hours for the 79 kWh/59 kWh variant) and a 7.3 kW AC charger (charging from 0-100% takes 11.7 hours/8.7 hours for the 79 kWh/59 kWh variant). Other tech features are electric power steering with variable gear ratios, semi-active suspension, brake-by-wire technology, adjustable regenerative braking, and all four-wheel disc brakes.
