To further solidify its lead in India's developing electric vehicle market, Tata Motors unveiled the Curvv EV, the company's first mid-sized electric SUV, on Wednesday.
Launched at a starting price of Rs 17.49 lakh, the Tata Curvv EV will go up against the MG ZS EV, which is priced between Rs 18.98 lakh and Rs 25.44 lakh.
With its 123 kWh powertrain, the Curvv EV can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.

Six airbags, ESP, all-wheel disc brakes, and a host of additional technologies will be standard on the Curvv EV. It will also have Level 2 ADAS and auditory alarms to guarantee pedestrian safety.
Three engine options will be available for the new car: one diesel and two gasoline. The new Hyperion GDi, which produces 125 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque, is one of them.
At the launch, it was revealed that the Tata Curvv EV will have a 1.2C charging rate, which would let it reach 150 km of range in just 15 minutes.
The business said it would reach a top speed of 160 mph. A 585-kilometer range is promised for the new EV. According to the firm, buyers should anticipate a real-world range of 400–425 kilometres.

With the introduction of Curvv.ev today, Tata Motors can now boast that it has four EVs in its portfolio: the Nexon EV, Punch EV, Tiago EV, and Tigor EV. The Curvv combines the ruggedness of an SUV with the sporty silhouette of a coupé, and it will be available in both EV and ICE versions initially.
